Website / Blog Ranking sites : Are they reliable any more ?

We all run after the ranking sites such as Alexa, Moz, Google Analytics & so on for a higher rank. Earlier these were the SEO techniques that were helping to raise the rankings. But now almost everyone has started charging a significant price. So my very simple question: Are they reliable anymore?

I am a businessman and in my opinion, if you pay, you will get higher ranks and if you don’t pay, you won’t get those rankings. There are many agencies in the market who are offering Twitter, FB and other Social media network followers against a price. Persons are there who offer YouTube views at an agreed cost.

Earlier Alexa was Free and highly reliable. But they made three categories and started charging a huge monthly figure.  The cost of a simple Alexa Rank of your site has now been DOUBLED at almost $20 per month, with many more limitations to be covered under various higher costs. Similarly, you have to pay $99 to $149 per month under two other categories, and the problem is that even for your Free Trial of 7 days, you have to furnish your Credit / Debit card details.

MOZ was also absolutely free, but now you have to choose MOZ PRO, and the four categories are available at $99 per month, $149 per month, $249 per month as well $599 per month. Again, you have to furnish your credit card details for a Free trial of 30 days.

Google Analytics is Free but the traffic it shows is nowhere near to the traffic & visits visible in your blogger dashboard. On the other hand, the Google Analytics premium is available at a monthly cost which is beyond the pocket of at least the Indian bloggers, i.e. $12,500 per month, $1,50,000 per annum.

Even for the basic Alexa & basic Moz you have to pay almost $120 a month, $1,440 for a year, which comes to approx Rs 1 lakh per annum. So bloggers, if you really want to earn out of your blog, you have to shell out as above, with a hope that it will have some impact on Google analytics.

My very simple question is still there. Are they reliable anymore? If not, then why all the Blogging Platforms rank their member bloggers on the basis of above criterion?

Status of .in Vs .com Blogspot Blogs ?

Please check if your .in blogspot blogs are appearing in Google ?  My .in blogspot blogs are not appearing in Google or any other search engine, for the last 2 to 3 days.

But while trying on various search engines, i found that, though my .in blogspot blogs were not at all appearing, but by using .com ( that we used earlier ), all the blogs were appearing, but with the dropped Alexa rankings.

Please revert with a comment.
Cheer up & keep on blogging !!!!!

How ‘The Bachelorette’ showed millions a different side of the Sikh faith

What happens when America’s best-known dating show meets one of its most-misunderstood religions?
“The Bachelorette” brought Sikhs into the spotlight Monday night. One of the finalists took Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay home to meet his estranged dad, a yogi and convert to the minority faith. People who identify as Sikh make up just a fraction of 1 percent of the population.
Sikh fans were nervous about the portrayal, which was teased in promotions as part of the drama between contestant Dean Unglert and his father, who he says emotionally abandoned him and became “eccentric” after his mother died. Before the episode, Dean took to Instagram with a heartfelt call for religious understanding.
“I’m asking for a favor: when I said my father was eccentric, I was not referring to his Sikh faith or the turban he wears on his head,” he wrote. “I’m not asking you to spare his feelings (or mine) but instead to be cognizant and accepting of the millions of people that belong to the Sikh community.”

B S Vohra with RJ Raunac on RED FM 63.5, BAJAATE RAHO

Though i am a regular on various TV channels for raising various social & civic issues, it was indeed a great opportunity, a great experience, while being LIVE on a Radio and that too the Top most FM channel : RED FM 93.5 Bajate Raho, alongwith the Top ranking RJ Raunac.

We had raised the issue of WaterLogging in Delhi in a different manner and it was covered by various TV channels & Print media. It was a surprise for me when i got a call from Rohan, saying that they want me in the Studio of REd FM for a live show with RJ Raunac. Indeed a great experience as i was Live on the Red FM for many days in continuation and the issue closed when we floated a Boat on the Delhi roads in the waterlogging due to a DJB burst.
