Ratan Tata – the name with the most positive impact on the Indian Economy !

Ratan Tata, the chairman of the Tata group since 1991, stepped down on attaining the age of 75 years. Some key milestones the group achieved during his tenure are as below :

Tata Indica was launched by the group in the 1998 and Tetley group was acquired in 2000. Tata AIG was launched in the year 2001 as its re – entry into the insurance sector and in 2002, they acquired a controlling stake in VSNL. In 2003 Tata Consultancy crossed the $ 1 billion mark in revenue and in the year 2004, Tata Motors was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. They also acquired the famous Daewoo Motors in the same year.

In 2007 CORUS was acquired which was the second largest steel maker in Europe & in the year 2008 Tata Nano was launched. We still remember the view when Mr Ratan Tata came out of the Nano at the Auto Expo at Pragati maidan. It was a great moment for all. In the same year, they acquired Jaguar and the Land Rover business from Ford and in the year 2012, the year when Mr Ratan Tata, retired, they launched Tata Starbucks Ltd.

It clearly shows the Impact & vision of Mr Ratan Tata on the Indian Economy as the group was doing great business in almost every field i.e. from Salt to Softwares. He received the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 as well the Padma Bhushan in 2000. He was also awarded Knight Grand Cross, which is the highest civilian honour of the British Empire besides many other honorary Degrees & Certifications. His name was added in the Automotive Hall of Fame for his great achievements & contribution to the Automotive sector.

That’s the life and influence of Mr Ratan Tata, who, even after retirement, even after achieving the great milestones, is still on the way of changing the life of poor peasants in the rural area.

Such is the impact of his name, that even after his retirement, the new team is working on the path of Glory and the new launch of Tata Motors is the ZICA the  #Fantastico, which is now likely to be called Civet, Adore or Tiago to avoid it’s matching with the Zika Virus, that is causing havoc in many countries. People will now vote for the new name of Zica out of the three mentioned above and the one with the highest votes will be selected as the new name of Tata Zica and it’s likely to create a real personal connection of the customers with the Tata Motors.

The new name of the Tata Zica is being expected in the month of March 2016. The new hatchback has the very smartly designed interiors and the matching exteriors. It will have the two engine options i.e. Revotorq in diesel and the Revotron in petrol. While saluting the Great Ratan Tata for his achievements & contribution to the Indian economy, we wish a grand launch of Tata Zica with its new name at the earliest possible.
