The battle of Saragarhi - 1897 - KESARI - Must view the movie !

Must view the latest blockbuster - KESARI - the battle of Saragarhi - just 120 years ago in 1897 - at the Saragarhi fort - which was attacked by over 12000 Afghan Infantry - while there were only 21 Sikh Soldiers of the 36 Sikh Regiment, under the command of Havaldar Ishwar Singh

After the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the entire area came under the control of the British Army and the Afghans used to attack to gain the control. British knew that only the brave Sikhs can save the area from the Afghan army & hence deputed a small force there, as it was a communicating fort between the two other forts & the attack was not anticipated. But the Afghan Army attacked the Saragarhi Fort to break the communicating link between the rest of the two forts.

Must view - KESARI - with the record collections, it's the worth viewing. Great Acting, perfect direction, you will just keep on clapping every minute. The first half looks normal but the second half is mind-blowing. We were surprised to see the heavy rush and the people were sitting even in the front lines. Must appreciate the entire team - Akshay Kumar, Anurag Singh, Karan Johar as well as the Dharma Movies.

REGAL THEATRE - End of an era or the beginning of a new era ?

With the Last two shows of the Legend Raj Kapoor, Regal theater has stepped forward to become a part of the History. The theater was built in the year 1932 and its prominent visitors included Lord Mountbaton, PT Jawahar Lal Nehru, Amitabh Bachhan and the Legend Raj Kapoor himself.

As usual, even today the picture hall displayed the House Full board, as all the tickets of this cinema hall were sold out. Today is the last day of this theater in Delhi as its being closed for a new beginning. I remember the movie that i had seen in this hall after my marriage, years ago, and a song in the movie was - छोड़ आए हम......, वो गलियाँ.......

Its expected that soon it will be converted into a multiplex and if reports are to be believed, its first floor will have the world famous Madame Tussauds wax museum. Therefore, we can say that its not only the end of an era, but also a beginning of the new era.

Phillauri - movie review

Phillauri - a movie starring Anuskha Sharma & Diljit Dosanjh.

Diljit Dosanjh is a real craze in the Punjab and Anuskha Sharma is also a heart throb of Indian Cinema. The new launch, " Phillauri", is a good movie. Though the viewers may feel confused between the scenes of 1919 as well 2017, that were just sharing the screen, one after another. But its connection to the incident of Jalianwala bagh in Amritsar, changed the thinking of the viewers and enhanced its ranking. The love scene in the era of 1919 between a village girl and a mushtanda of a pind were not at all required. The ghost show at the end of the movie, at the Jalianwala bagh, brought tears in the eyes of many. The visuals of the era pf 1919 looked quite realistic and impressive. The movie has been made on a budget of 21 crores and seems it has already recovered a major part of it. It seems to be a profitable venture with its maximum viewers from the North.

Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Talvar’ – to enlighten us with reality

TALVAR is based on the real time story of Aarushi Talwar, who was murdered at her home in 2008 with her throat slit while the body of the servant was found on the rooftop with similar wounds. The news had baffled everyone with a strange thought that how the parents could kill their 14 years old daughter. But the investigating agencies had termed the murder as the Honor Killing stating that the parents of Aarushi Talwar i.e. Dr Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar had seen her in the compromising position with the servant.

Talvar is directed by Meghna Gulzar who is the daughter of Rakhee & Gulzar saab. She has done her best in depicting that how the law enforcing agencies as well the investigating agencies operate in our country.

The story is written by Vishal Bharadwaj who has referred the term TALVAR for the justice which slices through the darkness to enlighten us with reality, though delayed.

While viewing the special screening of the movie we were just speechless. The visuals were so catchy, that we could not even blink our eyes. It portrayed different versions of investigation, i.e. by local police, by investigating team A and by investigating team B.

It clearly showed the impact of bureaucracy on the investigating agencies that can turn the investigation into any direction they prefer. It showed how the local police had failed to do its job by not even referring to the forensic. It showed how Team A had almost cracked the case, but the retirement of the chief, changed everything. It also portrayed that how the new chief intervened to alter the course of direction.

Irrfan Khan plays the role of an investigating officer in the Team One, while Neeraj Kabi and Konkona portray the roles of Aarushi's parents and it also stars Tabu in a special appearance. It is being released on the 2nd October and we are sure that you will #TalvarThisFriday.
